COVID 19 FAQ

Will the GRE requirement be waived for the Fall 2020 semester, given test site postponements and cancellations?

Educational Testing Service (ETS) is now offering a “Test at Home” option for those requiring the GRE. Please use the following link to their website for more information: https://www.ets.org/s/cv/gre/at-home/

My previous college/university is closed due to COVID-19.  What should I do in terms of requesting official transcripts?

Students can now apply using unofficial transcripts, allowing those who are unable to secure official transcripts to pursue admission without delay or complication. Please note that those who are admitted will be required to submit official transcripts to the university prior to enrolling in any coursework during their second semester as a student in this program.

I am an international applicant.  How do I send my transcript and diploma to UF if your office is working remotely?

Due to the impacts of the coronavirus, we are temporarily unable to accept original hard copies of documents. For admission review purposes, international applicants should upload their unofficial transcripts and/or credential evaluations, along with their degree certificates to their application. This can be done while completing the application or, if already submitted, applicants can log into their application status (https://admissions.ufl.edu/appstatus.html) and upload documents. If admitted, official copies of the documents will be required prior to registering for the 2nd term of attendance. Please wait to send these until regular operations have resumed.

Has COVID-19 impacted the academic calendar (start/end dates) for this program?

No. All published dates for this online program remain unchanged.

Will the $37 application fee be waived due to the financial strains caused by the current crisis?

At this time, the application fee is not being waived.

Will any deadline extensions be granted for those whose application materials arrive after the published deadline due to delays caused by COVID-19-related closures, complications, etc.?

Our application deadline for certificate and master’s degree applicants is June 24th, 2020.

Please note that UF must receive all application materials, including GRE scores if applicable, by this date. Applicants should upload their unofficial transcript to their application.
