Course Description
This course provides an overview of the practice for providing care to the geriatric population. This includes an understanding of common syndromes, conditions and diseases that are relevant to the quality of life in older adults.
Course Goals
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. Identify and differentiate between the syndromes, conditions, and diseases common in the geriatric population
2. Identify the medical, psychosocial, and environmental factors that contribute to these syndromes, conditions, and diseases.
