Financial Aid

Master’s degree students are eligible for financial aid. In order to be eligible, students must take a minimum of 5 credit hours in the fall and spring and 4 credit hours in the summer. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens on October 1st of each year. Students interested in financial aid should complete the FAFSA using the UF Federal School Code (001535) at their earliest convenience. Please refer to the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships for more information.

Graduate certificate and non-degree seeking students, while not eligible for financial aid, may be eligible for private loans.

VA Tuition Assistance

Students with a military background may be eligible to receive tuition assistance through the G.I. Bill or V.A. Tuition Assistance. Active-duty military interested in using tuition assistance benefits should contact their base education office and UF Student Veteran Services at vacounselor@ufl.edu or 352-294-2948. Please refer to the Office of Student Veteran Services for more information.

Tuition Reimbursement

Tuition reimbursement is a form of tuition assistance offered by many employers to employees who are looking to gain job-related skills and advance their careers within the company. UF’s online graduate programs in aging can be instrumental for professionals working in hospitals, outpatient centers and assisted living facilities, and there are many employers who see an education in aging as an investment, especially as aging populations grow.

If you are interested in tuition reimbursement, you should first verify whether your employer has an existing tuition reimbursement policy. From there, you can determine your eligibility and work with your employer to receive benefits.

Additional Costs

There is a $30 application fee for master’s degree and graduate certificate applications, to be paid at the time of submitting the online application. There is no application fee for non-degree seeking students.
